Ellen Strickland has been a Collaboration and Community Lead at InternetNZ since October 2012.[1] She also serves as an independent consultant on Internet and ICT issues, with a focus on policy and research on the Oceania region.[2]

Strickland is also the Vice-Chair of PICISOC, the Pacific Island ISOC Chapter.[1] She has held that position from 2012 to 2014 and was also Secretary from 2010 to 2012.[2] She is involved with ICANN through ALAC and APRALO.[1]

She serves as Co-Chair of Pacific Internet Partners and holds a position as a seasonal teacher at the University of Queensland's Centre for Communication and Social Change.[2]
