  1. CompassRose.Life Inc. - This applicant submitted a Public Interest Commitment, which can be downloaded here. The TLD failed its initial evaluation in June 2013 due to its responses to the financial questions in the application; it subsequently requested and passed extended evaluation.[2][3]

It was announced on 19 Dec 2013 that Donuts won in a private auction against all other applicants the right to .life. Donuts became the sole remaining applicant and CompassRose.Life Inc. and Xiamen 35.com Technology received a pay-off from Donuts in return for withdrawing their applications. The auction was administered by Applicant Auction.[5]

On 06 February 2014 Donuts received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .life after passing all the required processes needed to become a Registry Operator for the string.[6]

Delegation and Availability[edit | edit source]

.life was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on 15 May, 2014, completing the successful application for the string.[1]
