Aboubacar Cisse is the technical contact for the ccTLD .ml (Mali), Sotelma (Society of Telecom for Mali). He was educated at UGB - Université Gaston Berger St Louis, ESP - Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique and UCAD / ESP - Dakar.
Cultural Work[edit | edit source]
Cisse was a Cultural Assistant to the U.S Embassy in Mali. In the fall of 2008, the University of Bamako Student Association (AEEM) asked the Embassy for help to rehabilitate the Acropole (a student cultural center at the University of Bamako). Although the embassy could not contribute construction funds, APAO Kathleen Peoples and Cultural Asisstant Aboubacar sought to contribute to the project in a creative way. They contacted a local private architectural university, ESAIU (Ecole Superieure d'Ingenerie, Architecture, et Urbanisme) and challenged their architecture students to produce the best restoration design. The best design was selected for the restoration of Acropole.
