India TL Domain was a rumored domain registry services company based in Mumbai, India. The company confirmed its application for the .bangaluru and .mumbai geographical TLDs after securing the support of the Mayors of Bhurat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and Mumbai City respectively;[1] however these applications were never submitted to ICANN.

The company partnered claimed to have partnered with Mind + Machines to provide back-end registry service solutions for the proposed strings. Their application was curious given that the .bangaluru TLD seems to be an erroneous spelling for Bengalura (original Kenada name) of Bangalore (colonial name) of the city it represents. Bengaluru is known as the technology capital and the third most populous city in India. The Bengalura Mayor's office referred to the proposed TLD as .bangaluru and dot bangaluru in its letter of support. [2] [3]

On the other hand, On July 26, 2011, the IT Deputy Director Y.S. Mahangade of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), sent a letter to ICANN requesting ICANN not to approve any application for the .mumbai TLD. Mahangade explained that the letter of support issued by the Deputy Mayor of MCGM has been revoked and the Municipal Commissioner is the authorized party to issue official communications in behalf of MCGM. Meanwhile, Antony Van Couvering, CEO of Minds + Machines responded by releasing a statement which reads,"This is the first we have heard about this and we are looking into the matter with our client, India TL Domain Pvt Ltd, to whom the original letter of appointment was issued by the Deputy Mayor of Mumbai. Once we understand what the situation is viz-a-viz India TL Domain Pvt Ltd and the City of Mumbai, we will provide an update."[4]
