InterNetX GmbH was founded in 1998 in Regensburg, Germany. The company provides Internet business solutions, domain sales, cloud and dedicated servers, as well as customized server solutions for resellers and providers. The company manages over 3.8 million domains, 10,000 SSL certificates and more than 2,500 physical servers with a focus on professional users in the worldwide marketplace.

InterNetX is one of the largest DENIC members and accredited with Verisign, Afilias, PIR, Neustar and nearly all other registries. The company offers its customers more than 350 ccTLDs and all generic top level domains (gTLDs), including all new domain extensions (new gTLDs). Through its subsidiary PSI-USA, it is an official ICANN registrar. InterNetX has sponsored ICANN Meetings at the Silver level.

Since its foundation, InterNetX has been operating several data centers. A new TIER 3 data center was put into operation in November 2006 in Munich. The total bandwidth of the data center in Munich was increased to 50 Gbit/s in 2009. In the same year the whole data center was certified according to ISO-27001. The network expansion and development of a proprietary DarkFiber Ring allowed not only for an increased redundancy, but also created the technological foundation for connecting a total bandwidth of several hundred gigabits at the location in Munich. InterNetX is a member of the „Réseaux IP Européens“ (RIPE), an organization responsible for the international IP namespace und has been offering its customers native IPv6 for years.[1]

Products and Services[edit | edit source]

The internally developed InterNetX software AutoDNS is a multi-client capable domain management user interface. It allows for the real-time registration of domains, a comfortable name server management, adding additional users with customizable access rights and creating sub users. AutoDNS has been successfully in use since 1999 and is continuously being advanced and improved.

In addition to its domain products, InterNetX offers hosting solutions and SSL certificates by well-known companies. InterNetX is a Platinum Partner of Symantec, the leading provider of SSL certificates, and manages more than 10,000 SSL certificates.[2]

Partners[edit | edit source]

InterNetX is a member of ECO, NAIIN, and RIPE.[3]

new gTLDs[edit | edit source]

InterNetX is a registry for .LTDA and .SRL through its subsidiary InterNetX Corp., seated in Miami. The domain extension is directed mainly at limited liability companies in Latin America and Italy. .LTDA started into the Sunrise Phase on October 29. It has been in General Availability since December 2, 2014. The proposed application for .SRL succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 24 July, 2015. The TLD is scheduled to start into the Sunrise Phase in September, 21, 2015.[4]
