.kpn is one of the new generic top level domain name (gTLD) delegated ICANN's New gTLD Program. KPN, a telecommunications company based in Netherlands applied for the TLD. After its application succeeded, the extenstion was delegated to the Root Zone on 15 December 2015. ^[1] OpenRegistry, a start-up company will handle the application and provides back-end registry solutions for .kpn together with its technical arm Sensirius. ^[2] ^[3]
