Demi Getschko is the Director and President of NIC.br^[1] and a member of ICANN.^[2]

He has completed his B.S., M.S. and PhD. from the University of Sao Paulo.

He was the part of the team that created the first Internet connection in Brazil.
He has been a member of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee since 1995.
Since 1989 he has been the administrative contact for [.br]
He has also worked at the University of Sao Paulo as a professor and an IT consultant.
He was the manager of Fapesp Data Center(1986-1996).

He become the Technology Director at Agencia Estado in 1996.
