Sandra Hoferichter is a European ALAC representative. She has been coordinating the European Summer School on Internet Governance since 2007;[1] the program takes place annually in Meissen, Germany. Sandra is also the administrative coordinator of EuroDIG, the European Dialogue on Internet Governance;[2] the European IGF; and is the manager of the ICANN Studienkreis.[3]
Sandra is self-employed as architect and holds a degree in Architecture from the Academy of Technique, Culture, and Business of Leipzig.
Conference Coordination
Ms. Hoferichter coordinated Euro-NF Expert Meetings on the Governance and Privacy Dimension of the Internet of Things; held in Leipzing in July, 2009, and March, 2011.[4]
Beginnings
She became involved in the Internet Governance process in 2006 via her work as the project manager of Medienstadt Leipzig e.V., which is a German not for profit organization and recognized At-Large Structure. In July, 2006, she attended the ICA-IAMCR Expert Meeting in Rathen, Germany; this led to the establishment of GIGANET, The Global Internet Governance Academic Network, and also helped establish the Summer Schools in Internet Governance.[5]
