Sandy George is on the ASO Address Council as a representative from the ARIN region. He was also on the 2006, and 2007, ICANN NomCom.[1]
Sanford George has been working in the networking and data communications field since 1977. He currently assists in the management of Los Nettos at the University of Southern California.
Career History
From 1986 to 1999, he managed the multi-protocol routing infrastructure at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology. He also held the position of Routing Center Manager for the Southwest region of the NASA Science Internet, NASA Science Network and the Space Physics Analysis Network (SPAN). He received seven NASA awards for his contributions to NASA research and flight projects.
Sanford has worked for EDS (Electonic Data Systems), Hughes Aircraft Company, Central Oregon College, a Data General OEM (Service Data Processing), and an IBM service bureau (Alaskan Data Systems).
Before establishing a career in the networking field, he owned and operated a sport parachuting and glider school in Northern California.
