Carlos Friacas is the Senior Network Engineer & Project Manager at FCCN.[1] He has also been involved in the European IPv6 Projects 6NET and 6DISS and is on the IPv6 Task Force Steering Committee.[2]
Education
He is a doctor of computer science from Universidade de Lisboa.
Career History
- He has been a Systems Engineer at University of Lisbon.[3]
- Carlos Friacas has also helped on the deployment of IPv6 on the Portuguese academic network.
- Presently, he manages the Internet Exchange (Gigapix).
- He also manages the local internet registry for FCCN, GÉANT2's AutoBAHN.
