Dr. Jörg Schweiger is the CEO of DENIC, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CENTR[1] and representative of Country Code TLDs in ICANN's NomCom[2].

Career History

Since October 2007, Dr. Jörg Schweiger has been a member of the Executive Board of DENIC eG, the managing organization and central registry for .de domains. After nearly seven years as DENIC’s CTO with responsibility for all technical matters and HR, he assumed the function of CEO as of March 2014.

Industry Participation

Dr. Jörg Schweiger further is permanently engaged to shape tomorrow’s Internet.[3]

Education

Dr. Jörg Schweiger studied computer sciences at the universities of Dortmund, Germany and Linz, Austria. After graduating, he worked as a consultant, project manager and in senior management functions with major engineering and insurance companies.[4]
