More information:

.global is a proposed new generic top level domain name gTLD to ICANN's New gTLD Program.

The TLD was originally contested by two applicants, but Donuts withdrew its application in December 2013 after what appears to be a privately negotiated deal, a rarity as most contention sets are being settle either by objections or auctions.[1]

Current Applicants[edit | edit source]

The company aims to use the .global string as a preferred alternative for the .com TLD to enable corporations and organizations market their products and services globally to consumers. Rolf Larsen is the CEO of the company.[2]
