.forsale is a proposed top level domain name (TLD) to the New gTLD Program of ICANN.

Current Applicant[edit | edit source]

  1. Donuts (Sea Oaks, LLC)- This is one of the 307 new gTLDs filed by Donuts. The .forsale string is submitted under the company name Sea Oaks, LLC. The back-end registry solutions will be provided by Demand Media while the DNS and DNSSEC services will be handled by AusRegistry Pty Ltd. The company also partnered with Equinix and SuperNap to provide datacenter facilities and infrastructure, and Iron Mountain for data escrow services.[1][2] This applicant submitted a Public Interest Commitment, which can be downloaded here.

  1. DERForsale, LLC- A wholly-owned subsidiary of Dominion Enterprises. Its intention in applying to become the registry operator of the TLD is to provide an intuitive and trusted online marketplace for consumers. The company selected Afilias to serve as back-end registry provider. [3]
