Naveed Haq is the Assistant Director of ICT with the Pakistani Telecommunication Authority. He has been working with the government since 2002, and previously worked for an ISP. He was initially involved in running the PTA's DNS, email, and Internet services, but has more recently been involved in research and policy development.[1]

ICT research is not only his job but his passion; though he is also passionate about cricket.

ICANN & Other Roles[edit | edit source]

Naveed has been an ICANN Fellow at a number of its meetings; where he is largely involved with IPv6, DNSSEC, Whois, and the NCUC. He has recently finished large projects related to IDNs and IPv6, and is still making DNSSEC developments within Pakistan.[2][3]

Naveed has made been teaching about ICANN through meetings, presentations, and his writing. He has also taken DiploFoundation courses on Internet Governance.[4]

Mr. Haq is a member of ISOC, Pakistan; and has served as an ISOC ambassador to the IGF.[5]
