Dr. V. C. Vivekanandan is the Director of the Legal Information Institute of India and Professor and Head National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) Proximate Education, University of Law at Hyderabad. He also serves as IP Chair Professor of the Ministry of Human Resources Information and Adjunct Visiting Professor at the University of Buffalo Business School in New York. He is a member of the Nominating Committee (NomCom) of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers until the expiration of his term in 2012.[1]

Dr. Vivekanandan has an extensive experience in academic research and advocacy. He is expert in the field of Intellectual Property Rights, Internet and international Trade laws.[2]

Career History

In 1988, Dr. Vivekanandan started teaching about internet governance and cyber laws to law students and working professionals in the four cities India. Since 2001, he is serving as Professor and Head of NALSAR Proximate Education, University of Law and Chair Professor of Intellectual Property Rights of Ministry of Human Resources Development for the government of India since. In 2007, he became Adjunct Visiting Professor of the University of Buffalo, Business School. In 2008, he was one of the participant at the Hague Conference on Private International Law on Online Jurisdiction Issues on Legal information. [3]
