.luxury is a proposed TLD in ICANN's New gTLD Program. There were originally two applicants for this TLD, Donuts and Luxury Partners, LLC, but the latter won the contention set in a private gTLD auction for an undisclosed amount. It was auctioned off in the first round of such auctions held by Innovative Auctions in June 2013.[1] The proposed application succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 18 January 2014.[2]

On 17 Oct 2013 Luxury Partners, LLC received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .luxury after passing the Initial Evaluation.[3]
Delegation and Availability[edit | edit source]
.luxury was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on January 18, 2014, completing the successful application for the string.[2]
