He is a board member of South by Southwest, McCall added a digital convergence and mobile technology dimension to the international event. In 2006 he coordinated a prototype high-definition two-way broadcast between Austin and San Antonio to demonstrate an adaptive web services model In association with the SXSW Interactive Festival and the DCI in 2006.[1]

He received his BA in English and Photocommunications from Texas Tech University. Then Post Graduate in Computer Science from Texas Tech University.
