Amira Mahmoud is a media producer, who is passionate about democracy, human rights, and internet governance. She works for Opera News which belongs to Opera browser. She got a web development diploma at ITI Egypt and an associate of media at The United States 2019.

 Amira participated in a program on internet governance in the MENA region. As one of the program’s top alumni, she received a fellowship to attend the Igmena Summit in Tunis in September of 2016.  She also took part in the ICANN59 meeting in Johannesburg- South Africa within NextGen program then she was selected as ambassador in the ICANN62 meeting in Panama. Besides she participated in  African School on Internet Governance, Africa IGF, and North Africa IGF 2017.  She is a member of ISOC Egypt and the MEAC Strategy Working Group (MEAC-SWG).
