Joao Nuno Ferreira is the Technical Director at the Foundation for National Scientific Computing (FCCN). Previously, he was the Head of the Technical Staff at FCCN.[1]

As the Technical Director at FCCN, Joao Nuno Ferreira stresses on the importance of migrating from IPv4 to IPv6, since IPv4 is running out of adresses.[2]

Joao Nuno Ferreira is the Co-ordinator of the Administration and Practice Group of the IPv6 Task force. [3]

Joao Nuno Ferreira is also very involved with the FEAST Project which deals with NREN Twinning between African and European NRENs.[4] [5]

Joao Nuno Ferreira has contributed to a lot of books or presentations. He has contributed to the Site Security Handbook,[6] IPv6 Tutorial,[7] Deliverable D3.4.2 of 6net.org[8] and the material at Southern Africa 6DISS.[9]
