The 8th annual South School on Internet Governance (SSIG) was held from 3-7 April 2017 at the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The South School on Internet Governance (SSIG) trains new leaders in all aspects related to Internet Governance, from a global perspective and with focus on the Latin America and Caribbean Region.

ICANN 58 is being held from 11-16 March 2017 at the AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark. It marks Meeting A of 2017, under ICANN's new meeting structure. ICANN meetings provide an opportunity for a diverse set of stakeholders across the world to come together and discuss and develop policies on the Internet's domain name system.
