Statton Hammock is the President at ASHnet Legal Services, Pro Bono Legal Counsel at The PRASAD Project, and the Secretary of the Board of Directors at Greater DC Cares.[1] His legal and consultation practice focuses on his expertise of Internet related law, including domain names, ICANN policy making, social media, online advertising, and corporate governance.[2]
Mr. Hammock is the former Senior Director of Law, Policy & Business Affairs at Network Solutions, where he provided legal and strategic business advice about corporate governance, intellectual property rights, commercial transactions, online advertising, litigation management, and ICANN-related policy issues. He became Vice Chairman of the Registrar Stakeholder Group in May 2011,[3] though he no longer holds that role since his departure from Network Solution in September, 2011.[4] Statton has been with Network Solutions for more than 4 years, having previously served as Assistant General Counsel to LCC International, Inc.[5]
Education
Statton received his Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Virginia in 1990. He holds a JD from the University of Maine School of Law.[6]
