.amsterdam is a delegated geographical TLD in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The manager and registry is the City of Amsterdam.[1] The proposed application succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 22 December, 2014.[2]
The TLD reached General Availability September 1, 2015. According to the domain news website, Domain Name Wire, the TLD has a limited number of domain name registrars, but 101Domains will offer the extension for $41.99 per year. [3]
