Prior to the National Post, he was a Lawyer at Foyen Law Firm. He started his career in 1998, as a Law Clerk at District court Östersund.

He, along with Anders Rafting represented PTS in GAC/ICANN in Cairo.^[2]

Bergstrand holds a LLM in Law from Uppsala University.^[3]
