Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act

ACPA (Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act) was enacted by the United States Congress in 1999 to protect consumers and American business against cybersquatters who abusively register domain names that are confusingly similar to certain trademarks to gain profit in bad faith.
