IP Justice is an international civil liberties organization that promotes balanced intellectual property law. The organization’s focus is on international treaties, directives, and other trade agreements that address intellectual property rights or impact freedom of expression guarantees. IP Justice is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in San Francisco, USA.[1]

IP Justice runs several campaigns on Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA),[2] Access to Knowledge (A2K), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO),[3] Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)[4], Internet Governance Forum (IGF),[5] WTO-TRIPS, US IPR Foreign Policy, EU IPR Law and Policy, World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS),[6] European Union Campaign for an Open Digital Environment (CODE) and Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) Treaty.
ICANN Involvement
IP Justice is a member of ICANN's Non-Commercial Users Constituency and also participates through the Generic Names Supporting Organization. IP Justice's Executive Director Robin Gross is the Chair of ICANN’s Non-Commercial Users Constituency.[7]
History
IP Justice was founded in 2002 by Robin Gross at San Fransisco. Robin Gross who was then an attorney at Electronic Frontier Foundation(EFF) started IP Justice to bring international copyright reform. [8]
