Education
Olawale-Roberts is an alumni of the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State. Bagging a specialisation in Power and Machines; an option in Electrical Electronics Engineering.
Interests
Olawale-Roberts has a passion for ICT in development and Politics.
The last 5 years of his career has been in the public service of the Federal Government of Nigeria, serving under a parastatal under the Presidency as a Special Assistant and have achieved the fore going:
• 16 years of progressively responsible experience in the Public, Private and Non-Governmental service at junior and senior executive levels. • In the last 6 years maintained consistent top management positions in Public and Private concerns. • Broad and deep management and administrative experience. • Lifelong interest in and involvement with technology and communication tools. • Consulting experience in Oil & Gas, Telecommunications and Public Relations Management. • Secured a fund of £2,000 from Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) for a National Volunteer effort on Secured Livelihood for Nigeria Youth for Christ. • Successfully led the operations and had direct budget authority for an organisation with an annual budget of over $2M (www.webbenergy.com) • Secured the I.T. Governance in Webb Energy and processed it's documentation and eventual registration as a high risk service provider with Total Nigeria. Co-administered an exclusive contract with Shell whilst developing new business opportunities for the company. • Provided leadership for the Fiscal Responsibility Commission's media strategies and implementation of its ICT roadmap. Measured and administered change management, disseminated policies across Nigeria on fiscal and economic issues, asides collaborating with stakeholders to enhance prudence in public expenditure and the management of Nigeria's economic resources. • Provided leadership for the Fiscal Responsibility Commission ICT Strategies and designed a linkage that connected the commission to over 50 MDA"S it was providing oversight to.
Contributions to ICANN
ICANN requested for contributions to a policy review on a waiver on its Registrar Insurance Requirement. My contributions here were referenced when ICANN finally granted the waiver.[2]
