RyC is the abbreviation for Registry Constituency. It is comprised of the registry operators of the .net, .org, .name, .com, .pro, .museum, .aero, .coop and .info gTLDs, although it is meant to represent the interests of all ICANN-accredited gTLD registries. RyC is a part of the Generic Names Support Organization (GNSO).[1]

The RyC assists ICANN in the development of technical policies, in accordance with the MoU between ICANN and the United States Department of Commerce (DOC). It also seeks to gain quality feedback from the Internet community.[2]

The RyC analyzes and provides feedback regarding actions undertaken by the GNSO and the ICANN Board; they are often asked for their particular view and expertise, and also offer it for more general issues facing the organization and the wider Internet community.[3][4]
