Garth Bruen is the Owner of KnujOn, which sees him focusing on anti-spam efforts. The name of the company is "No Junk" spelt backwards. He is also a member of various anti-spam and cyber crime organizations, such as the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG), HTCIA, and Infragard. His anti-spam efforts are largely focused on shutting down the spammers websites through coordinating with their ISPs and registrars, not on filtering or blocking, which he sees as options that effectively ignore rather than solve the problem. KnujOn has shut down more than 30,000 spam sites, and has been aided in this by Internet users who forward the organization their junk mail. TANGO REGISTRY SERVICES was created in response to the historic passage of a new gTLD program by ICANN at its 41st meeting held in June, 2011 in Singapore. It is largely a registry software service wholly owned and distributed by Knipp Medien und Kommunikation GmbH, though they also provide certain hardware support. TANGO registry focuses entirely on Brand TLDs, that is, the new opportunities for brands to create their own .brand domain via the new gTLD program. They note that while most other standard registries have a diffuse chain of actors, including registry operators, registrars, and end users, a brand may now be the operator, administrator, and user of their own domain.
