.sapphire is a Brand TLD being proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is MiTek USA, Inc.[1] The company is also applying for .mitek and .mii. The TLDs are all to be closed TLDs that have been applied for defensively. They have not selected a registry provider, and note "'TLD will not be resold. Purchased for brand protection only."
