Jean-Jacques Subrenat
Dr. Jean-Jacques Subrenat is a writer and former diplomat. Presently, he is the senior advisor to the board of CCRN (Centre culturel et de rencontre Neumunster) and involved withEUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture). He is a former member of the ICANN Board; his term began in 2007 and ended in 2010.[1] He is currently a member of the ALAC, having been appointed twice by ICANN's NomCom, first from 2010-2012 and then reinstated from 2012 - 2014.[2]

Dr. Subrenat is working as a consultant after retiring from diplomatic service; he served as a French Amabassador for many years He is the chairman of advisory board of "Institut Pierre Werner" and a Tutor at ENA.[3]
Jean-Jacques Subrenat holds a Ph.D. in history from the Sorbonne University of Paris.[4]
Career History

- Researcher, CNRS, 1967-1971.
- Since 1972, Dr. Subrenat has worked as an active member the diplomatic service; holding different positions which include policy planning staff, head of the affairs department, diplomatic advisor, deputy director for Asia and the Pacific. Jean-Jacques Subrenat has been an Ambassador to the European Union, Ambassador to Estonia, and an Ambassador to Finland.[5]
Publications
Dr. Subrenat is the creator and the editor of Estonia - Identity and Independence; he also wrote a book titled Listen, there's music from the forest: a brief presentation of the Kuhmo Chamber music festival.
