Martin Pablo Silva Valent is an independent lawyer in Argentina, Partner at Silva.legal [1] and Co-founder of the NGO Datas.[2] He is also a Professor and Researcher on Internet Governance and is part of the IGF Argentina Steering Committee (2016 and 2017) in representation of the Civil Society .[3]

Silva's first ICANN Meeting was ICANN 48 in Buenos Aires, where he attended as an Honorary Fellow. He also participated as an ICANN Fellow at ICANN 54 in Dublin and ICANN 50 in London. For ICANN 51 in Los Angeles, he was an Alumni Leader in the Fellowship Program, where he was nominated for the ExCom position of Secretariat at the NPOC Constituency as a member for AGEIA DENSI.[4] He attended almost every meeting during 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2016 he was elected in the same constituency as Vice-Chair.[5] In 2017 he became a GNSO Councilor representing the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group (NCSG).[6] Martin has been heavily involved in the Review of all Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPMs) in all gTLDs PDP Working Group[7], and is also a Mentor in the Community Onboarding Program during 2016 and 2017.[8]

Silva also attended the second NCHP meeting in Washington on January 2015, Los Angeles in 2016, Reykjavik in 2017 and Los Angeles in 2018. and is an active member in the LAC community inside ICANN.[4]
