Salisu Kaka works for NITDA, the National Information Technology Department Agency, a governmental organization which is responsible for the regulation and monitoring of IT regulation and standards for Nigeria. His primary role is management and maintenance of the .gov.ng domain registry within the .ng ccTLD.[1][2] He has worked there since November 2009.[1]

He is also involved with ICANN through the GAC.[2]

ICANN 51 in Los Angeles was his first ICANN Meeting, and had also attended Nigerian Internet Governance Forum, IGF, AfNOG, and AfriNIC.[2]

He considers his proudest life achievement to be taking part in the adoption of the .ng ccTLD in Nigeria and successfully organizing a workshop for stakeholders on the DNS forum and Africa Internet Governance Forum. His passion is to get people involved in areas of governance that most people overlook, specifically IT governance.[2]
