As lifelong Entrepreneur, Artist and Humanitarian, Joan has over 40 years of management in both the private and civil society sectors. A skilled collaborator, Joan loves to create project that offer solutions that positively impact people and the planet. With a passion for the food, entrepreneurship and art, Joan pursues her projects with creativity, business skills & acumen and imagination to achieve her goals.
As a Facilitator, including Intercultural Studies, How to manage a Small Business, and Designing a Victory Garden to maximize an eco-healthy lifestyles.
In addition to being an entrepreneur, Joan manages the Foundation for Building Sustainable Communities (fbsc.org), which engage community members to act by providing easy and fun ways to preserve the planet.
As the Humanitarian Advisor for the IEEE Humanitarian Initiatives Committee, Chair of IEEE Smart Villages Project, Sustainable Agriculture Working Group, which has a focus on engineering and its impact on communities.
Recently, Joan became involved with ICANN, and is the NPOC Chair after serving for two years as the Membership Chair.
