Gustavo Paiva is a Law students at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Is one of the founders of the Grupo de Estudos de Direito da Internet (GEDI), UFRN's only institutionalized Internet Governance group.

His main topic of research is anonymity on the Internet and it's protection under Brazil's Constitutional Law.

Has attended the Brazilian IGF on 2015, and the International IGF on João Pessoa and Guadalajara.
