History
GigaLayer, formerly known as Aimtech HostingCo, was founded in 2007. It was a side project of Ahmad Mukoshy, a web developer and freelancer at the time a student at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto in Nigeria. The business grew and was rebranded to GigaLayer.com in 2013 to position it self for the Global and African market. It's first office opened in Lagos, 2014 with a workforce of a few people within a technology innovation hub called iDEA Nigeria. In 2015, GigaLayer moved to it's own premises in Lagos, Nigeria with full operations and expansions to reach the entire African market.
Between 2013 and 2017, GigaLayer also made a few acquisitions to boost its market share in Nigeria.
