Career
Abdalmonem Galila is the Deputy Manager of .masr (.مصر) IDN ccTLD of Egypt. He is also a member of Task Force on Arabic Script IDNs (TF-AIDN) that focuses on secure deployment and ease of use of Arabic IDNs. With TF-AIDN he is contributing to root zone and second level LGRs and universal acceptance for the Arabic script domain names.
His work at .masr IDN ccTLD has made him realize the importance of contributing to ICANN, Therefore, he has been actively involved with ICNAN since 2010 and has followed the IANA Stewardship transition. Through the fellowship program he intends to engage with the ccNSO, a platform which facilitates the collaboration for development of best practices for ccTLD managers. Deputy Manager .Masr IDN ccTLD
ICANN Involvement
He is a member of Universal Acceptance Steering Group “UASG”, the group concept is that all domain names should be treated equally, recently he is elected to be UA ambassador.
Also he is a member of EMOJIs study group that targets using of EMOJIs in the second level domain names and how this affects the security and other issues related to EMOJIs like similarities … etc.
He recently joined AFRALO after ICANN63 where AFRALO is the home of the individual Internet user community for the African region.
