This company is part of the initiative taken by ICANN to apply for three new top level domains.[2] Asif applied so far for two new global top level domains: .bank and .secure. Recently, has been announced that Asif managed to obtain from the US Patent and Trademark Office the approval for a trademark for .secure domain. Critics say that this has been obtained after not stating in the application that it was for a top level domain, but for domain registration services only.[3]
