Elliot Noss is the President and CEO of Tucows Inc. He also chairs the University of Toronto's Department of Computer Science Advisory Board.[1]

Elliot occasionally contributes to CircleID.[2]

In a letter dated December 8th, 2011, Elliot Noss, along with twenty-seven other domain name industry representatives, wrote to Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison to support ICANN's new gTLD program, in response to the Senate Hearings taking place on the same day. They supported ICANN's argument that the program would be innovative and economically beneficial, and noted that the program took a diverse group of international stakeholders years to develop.[3] The letter can be found here.

Career History

Elliot has been the President and CEO of Tucows since 2001, when Tucows completed its merger with Tucows Delaware. He began as CEO of Tucows Delaware in 1999 after having served as Vice President of Corporate Services of Tucows Interactive Ltd. from 1997 until the company was acquired by Tucows Delaware in May 1999.[4]

He completed his B.A. from the University of Toronto and his M.B.A. and L.L.B. from the University of Western Ontario.[5]

Noss is interviewed by Gray Chynoweth at ICANN 42 in Dakar, Senegal, on the topic of government involvement in ICANN's Multistakeholder Model.
