Marco Davids is a Senior Technical Policy Advisor and Senior Research Engineer at SIDN, the ccTLD operator for the Netherlands (.nl). He joined SIDN in 2007 and is a member of the SIDN Labs R&D team[1]. In this capacity he is involved in various projects, primarily with a focus on the DNS and other core protocols of the internet. Marco is also an active participant of the RIPE and IETF communities and has contributed to several RFCs.[2][3][4][5] and draft-documents[6][7][8][9].
Career History
Before joining SIDN in 2007, Marco worked as a Senior Network Specialist at SARA (nowadays known as SURFsara), where he was involved in the operational management of the 'Amsterdam Internet Exchange' (AMS-IX) and SURFnet, the Dutch National Research Network. Earlier, he worked for Casema Internet, at the time a large cable company and ISP in the Netherlands.
