.protection is an open generic top-level domain (gTLD) from the 2012 ICANN New gTLD Program. The string was originally applied for by Symantec Corporation; ICANN and Symantec executed the Registry Agreement on 23 April 2015. The agreement was assigned to XYZ.COM LLC (the XYZ Registry) in June 2015. CentralNic provides the registry back-end.
