CPDP LatAm is the leading conference on data governance, privacy, and technology in Latin America.

CPDP LatAm

The event usually takes place annually and involves the participation of "experts from various sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities of data governance in Latin America and the global scenario[1]." Concurrently, CPDP LatAm "publishes a document for discussion by the community[2]."

Currently, the CPDP LatAm directors are Luca Belli (Professor, FGV Direito Rio; Coordinator, Center for Technology and Society, FGV), Nicolo Zingales (Professor, FGV Direito Rio. Associate Researcher at Stanford CIS), Paul de Hert (Professor at the Faculty of Law and Criminology, Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Rosamunde Van Brakel (Professor and Researcher at the LSTS, Vrije Universiteit Brussel), and Dara Hallinan (CPDP Brussels, FIZ Karlsruhe – Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure)[3].

In addition, CPDP LatAm also has an Executive Team, a Scientific Committee, and a Multistakeholder Advisory Committee. Among the members of the Scientific Committee are Demi Getschko (CEO of NIC.br, Associate Professor at PUC-SP), Olga Cavalli (Vice-president of the ICANN GAC. Co-founder of the South School on Internet Governance), Ingo Sarlet (Professor and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Law at PUCRS Law School)[4], among other renowned names.
