In January, 2012, DomainTheNet filed a preemptive lawsuit against their German competitor, [[Key-Systems]], over their respective brand management trademarks. The services in question are Key-System's [[BrandShelter.com|BrandShelter]], and DomainTheNet's BrandShield.
