Michael began his career in the financial services sector, as a founding I.T. manager, for GMP Securities. In 1995, when the company was founded, Michael joined with consent to build an internal I.T. infrastructure and establishment. Within four years, to the start of the new millennium, Michael instituted a notable I.T. support team with inter-office network services and a highly advanced trading platform. He also launched an electronic-only Pro-Traders Floor, one of the first of its kind, during his time at GMP.

Mr. Young began his career with positions in the Financial and Supply sectors, where he implemented innovative solutions for product management and financial tracking. In 2001, Michael was hired at [[Afilias]] as the Vice President of Product Development. Michael worked with Afilias for nearly 10 years.
In February 2000, Mr Young moved to Grocery Gateway as Senior Project Manager in the Business Systems division, and helped deploy technology across all distribution centers. This implementation of end-to-end management technology proved ground-breaking, initiating lasting changes in supple chains, across e-commerce delivery services.
