Michael R Graham is retired from active practice, but provides general Intellectual Property and Domain Name legal and consulting services. He is the former Senior Corporate Counsel, Global Director of Intellectual Property for Expedia, in Seattle, Washington, and practiced intellectual property law, representing corporations, startups, individuals, and artists for over 28 years in all areas of trademark, copyright, Internet, and related Intellectual Property law.

Before joining Expedia in 2014, he was a partner at the Chicago IP Law Firm of Marshall, Gerstein & Borun, LLP, and previously practiced at Willian Brinks Olds Hofer Gilson & Lione. He began his own firm, Gnosis IP Law, P.C. in 2004 before joining Expedia, Inc. In addition, he was Co-Director of DePaul University College of Law’s Technology & Intellectual Property Clinic.Technology & Intellectual Property Clinic

He is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Intellectual Property Constituency, in which he currently serves as Treasurer, and has written and spoken widely on a range of trademark, copyright, and Internet IP topics before Intellectual property organizations, business groups, and companies. He has served as a member of the Consumer Trust, Consumer Choice and Competition working group and implementation review group, served as Vice Chair of the Policy and Implementation Non-PDP Working Group of the GNSO, and the Review of Rights Protection Mechanisms (1). He chaired the 2022 ICANN NomCom, was Associate Chair of the 2023 NomCom, and was a 2020 and 2021 NomCom delegate.
