  • In 2001, it started its own anycast DNS infrastructure.[3] In 2007, CommunityDNS was launched as a separate legal entity to provide anycast DNS services to the global internet community. [4]

  • In September, 2008, EURid, the European registry for .eu, announced the addition of a second anycast network to be operated by CommunityDNS Ltd., using the CommunityDNS Anycast Resolution System. [6]
