FirstMile Telecom is a company based in Casablanca, Morocco which specializes in providing wireless technology solutions in Morocco, North Sub-Saharan Africa and the Arab region. The company manufactures TAFF, an outdoor connection which allows users to surf the internet outdoors and Habless, an indoor access point. [1]
Aziz Bouabe established the company in April, 2005 and he also serve as its CEO & Managing Director.[2]
In 2006, FirstMile Telekom joined the Business Incubation Unit for less than one month at the Casablanca Technopark to be able to receive the necessary information and assistance needed by the company to find opportunities for its products and services and to position the company to its target markets.[3]
In 2007, FirstMile Telekom raised 2.5 million MAD ($400,000) for its future development plans in international markets. The company also assembled local hardwares at the Casablanca Technopark Wireless Factory.[4]
According to Bouabe the company's motto is "Bridging the Digital Divide with a Human Touch."[5]
