Kuo-Wei Wu, CEO

NIIEPA (National Information Infrastructure Enterprise Promotion Association) was the first non-profit organization to provide research and consultancy services in Internet policy and information security for government research institutions, universities and industries.[1]

NIIEPA was established in 1996 by Dr. Han-Min Hsia, advisor to the President of ROC and it wads officially registered as a non-profit organization. Hsia was elected Chairman of the Board. [2] Ku Wei Wu is the current CEO of NIIEPA.

Purpose

NIIEPA was establshed to perform the following objectives:[3]

  1. Support the government to extensively implement NII applications and services that are on a par with the developed countries.
  2. Assist the private sector to provide NII services and applications to the public, especially those related to their daily life.
  3. Strengthen links between the government and the private sector in terms of science and technology visions and policies.
  4. Collaborate with the government to build a well-rounded environment for the development of the NII industry.

NIIEPA and ICANN

NIEEPA is a member of ICANN's APRALO.[4]
