Alexander Schubert is heavily involved in new gTLDs, both as a consultant and as an Internet entrepreneur.[1] Alexander has been working as a domain consultant since 1997. He was the first person to propose the idea of the .gay TLD to ICANN in June, 2009. He was also a founder of the .berlin initiative, along with Dirk Krischenowski; thus, he has been involved in the gNSO process for the approval of new gTLDs, and has been attending ICANN meetings since 2004. He (co-)founded .berlin in mid 2005, and .gay in mid 2009. Dotgay LLC plans to return 2/3 of their profits back to the gay community.
