About[edit | edit source]

ICANNWiki is a small team of editors and contributors who have helped shape over 5,000 articles about ICANN, the DNS and Internet governance as a whole. Our goal is to continue to create and collaborate on relevant and educational articles that serve as a touchstone for our community. An edit-a-thon is a small, but powerful tool to start, grow or edit the information on ICANNWiki, and build a community of contributors.

Changes can start small--create or fill in your personal or company page, fix a small error. Or perhaps you have some insight into the history and trajectory of the new gTLD Program? Or, you have something factual to contribute to our IANA Transition article? Come to our edit-a-thon and choose your level of participation!

Location: Sheraton Conference Center, Buenos Aires, Argentina

No wiki editing experience necessary; as needed throughout the event, help will be provided for ICANNWiki newcomers. We will also provide a short handout of wiki markup and directions. Attendees should bring their own laptops and power cords.

Please add your ICANNWiki username to the appropriate section below (signatures are created by saving four tildes [~] in a row). If you haven't registered to become a user, you can find directions here. Once you requested your user name and have been approved, please leave your signature below (signatures with datestamp are added by typing four tildes "~".

By registering, ICANNWiki can better measure the efficacy of this event and similar programs. If you are not able to register a username before the conference we can help you the day of the event.

ICANNWiki es un pequeño equipo de editores y colaboradores que han ayudado a crear más de 5.000 artículos sobre la ICANN, el DNS e Internet governance en su conjunto. Nuestro objetivo es crear y colaborar en artículos educativos que sirvan a nuestra comunidad. Un edit-a-thon es una herramienta pequeña pero poderosa para comenzar, incrementar o editar la información contenida en ICANNWiki, y construir una comunidad de colaboradores. Los cambios se pueden hacer de a poco: crear o completar su página personal o de tu empresa, corregir un pequeño error. O tal vez conocés la historia y la trayectoria del new gTLD Program? O tenés algo concreto para contribuir a nuestro artículo sobre IANA Transition? Vení a nuestro edit-a-thon y elegí tu nivel de participación!

No es necesaria la experiencia de edición wiki; durante todo el evento se proporcionará ayuda para los recién llegados ICANNWiki. También proporcionaremos un breve folleto de código wiki y las direcciones útiles. Los asistentes deben traer sus computadoras portátiles y los cables de alimentación.
