Krista Papac has been ICANN's gTLD Registry Services Director since June 2013. She is the former General Manager of Policy & Industry Affairs and CSO ARI Registry Services.[1]Krista is a member of the IGF.[2]

In a letter dated December 8th 2011, Krista Papac, along with twenty-seven other domain name industry representatives, wrote to Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison to support ICANN's new gTLD program, in response to the Senate Hearings taking place on the same day. They supported ICANN's argument that the program would be innovative and economically beneficial, and noted that the program took a diverse group of international stakeholders years to develop.[3] The letter can be found here.

Career History

Krista has a background in the international domain name industry.[4]

She has been active in the International Trademark Association since 2001. Since 2007, she has participated in ICANN activities and has been a part of a number of ICANN policy-making groups. She represented ARI Registry Services, along with its CEO Adrian Kinderis, at the 2010 Domain Fest and .nxt Conferences.[5]

Prior to joining ARI Registry Services in 2010, Ms. Papac was the Business Development and Sales Manager at Iron Mountain. For 1 year, she worked as a Senior Sales Executive at Xerox, where she managed a team of eight entry-level sales representatives in prospect development, sales calls, proposal and bid preparation, and delivery of ‘C’ level presentations.

For less than a year in 2005, she worked at MarkMonitor as a Regional Sales Manager. Working as a Senior Sales Executive at Verisign was one of her first jobs.[6]

Education

Ms. Papac has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.[7]
